One of the latest developments in construction technology – concrete that can heal its own cracks. As reported in the MIT Technology Review, researchers are using a sunlight-induced, self-healing protective coating to fix cracks on the surface of concrete structures before they grow into larger ones that compromise structural integrity. This technology could save governments billions on repairs and maintenance.
